Stim Toy Matchup Game!!

I decided that for fun, I'm going to make many polls of a stim/fidget toy, and other avid stim toy collectors can vote on whether they have that same kind of toy in their collection, if they have the EXACT one I posted, if they don't have it, etc.

An example would be me posting a fidget cube with options of:

I dont have one, I have one, I have that exact one!

Instead of making an entirely new blog to do this on, I will use this one, and all posts along this line will be tagged with "stim toy matchup"!

Also, I'll happily reblog and vote on any OTHER posts ANYONE makes of this same subject, a poll with a fidget toy and the same responses I add, tagged the same way!

The first post will be fidget cube! And I'll occasionally look up the "stim toy matchup" tag in case you guys make any polls like this too!

Every time I see rp blogs for certain fandoms now, it just makes me even happier I jumped ship from the rpc.

I'm cool w cringe, and I'm cool w roleplayers being ~fancy~ in their pinned posts with 'a study in: (long list of flowery, cheesy aesthetic sentences)'. But what I cant deal with is how literally every time, they never even rp, post headcanons, or have muse info that comes close to exploring those things. The most they post is a one liner about a fart joke or something and the next thing you know, it's been a year and they've made six other blogs with the same kind of pinned post, and you give up bc nothing's actually happened, despite their fancy pinned posts and the promises how they're gonna 'study' certain things

It feels like a huge bait and switch!! And then of course, when you unfollow them bc you didn't actually see any rping, including rping about those 'studied' topics, they act like you're the biggest jerk in the history of the world just for having different expectations (that THEY led you to have). They storm into your inbox and be like, 'it's just tumblr rp wtf you're so high maintenance' and you sit there like lol wut, firstly, I just unfollowed you and you're the one who came after me, second, there's a big difference between expecting to see writing on an rp blog even one time, and being 'high maintenance', lemme know when you figure out what's 'high maintenance' about me patiently waiting months and months for you to post anything ic and just leaving. You might not wanna write anything, but i do, and i kinda, yknow, need to write in order to have fun in a writing hobby, how am I gonna have fun sitting on my hands for months

Now imma put a target on my back for a second, but I gotta say it: these people aren't running rp blogs, they're running fandom blogs. They love the characters, they don't love writing. They're here to talk about characters or set up a lil collection of gifs and aesthetic posts, but not actually make content or writing of their own. I see 'rp blogs' where literally all their posts are rb'd headcanons from other blogs and zero writing or even input on those headcanons! There's nothing wrong with being a fandom blog or only reblogging things, but it's a problem when people falsly advertise themselves as rpers (in a community full of people who actually wanna rp!) bc they can't examine what they actually want out of a character for 2 secs and set their personal record straight. Don't get mad when rpers unfollow or don't wanna interact when you literally don't rp

there are however some things that differ from Twitter to Tumblr and so we have some different rules and behaviour then you might be used to!! I'm gonna try to explain them to you in this post! everything is below the tab!

reblog reblog reblog!!! likes do absolutely nothing, and your blog 'aestetic' in reblogs doesn't really matter unless you're a specific aesthetic blog, reblog are the way people see the content. likes are private! so remember to reblog the stuff you see and like!

DO NOT STEAL GIFS/GRAPHICS I WILL COME AFTER YOU!!! always ask if you can use a gif an then ALWAYS CREDIT properly

shipping is, prevalent. shipping even rpf is ingrained into tumblrs culture on every side of it if you dont like it thats a you thing, you can 'blacklist' tags so just add 'rpf' or the shipnames to them and you should be good!

continuing with that idea, curate your own experience is the most important thing on this site, blocking and blacklisting is normal and very much allowed and welcomed. almost no one is going to change how they do or act around here for one person, just unfollow or blacklist.

but do NOT put long posts or x reader fics, anything in the main tag without putting it under a 'read more' tab people will get annoyed by you

followers dont matter!!! no one CARESSS about basically anything this site is wonderfully anonymous and we can't see how many followers anyone has so genuinely no one gives a shit do whatever you want

remember to trigger tag and unlike twitter spell it out completely! so when a crash happens or is talked about make sure to tag it 'tw crash' even with reblogs!! also remember to tag when you're being negative about a driver as 'anti *insert first name*' never do full name then it will show up in their tags which defeats the purpose of anti tagging.

adding to that, use tags! they're one of the best tumblr features its free to be overenthusiastic and excited in the tags BUT the blog you can reblog it from AND the op can also read those tags so keep that in mind!!

be nice! this shud be a given, be nice, let people do their thing and vibe, just support people and block when u you dont vibe with them! when you do wanna send hate asks do it off anon, dont be shy do it on main

and things arnt 'weird' in the same way they are on twitter, this place has no drivers and no public figures so shame is a lot less existent here, you have to get used to that
